Create a Mandatory If Rule

   MaestroPreviously known as Transact Maestro.  |   Form Builder |  v5.1 & Higher This feature is related to v5.1 and higher.

The Mandatory If rule allows you to create a script that marks the component as mandatory based on certain conditions.

To create a Mandatory If rule, follow these steps:

  1. Open a Maestro form.
  2. Click the Properties tab.
  3. Select a mandatory component.
  4. Click Create Rule.
  5. Select Mandatory If.
  6. Enter some JavaScript to implement the rule.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Build and Render Form to see how this rule is displayed when the form is built and rendered.

Use the Mandatory Message from the Properties panel to customize the message displayed when the user does not complete the mandatory component.
