Journey Platform End-of-Life Policy

   Journey PlatformPreviously known as the Transact Platform.

We update and improve the Temenos Journey Platform on a regular basis, so it supports only the most recent releases of our products, that are:

  • Major release - which adds new features, and is denoted by the first four digits of the release number, representing the year and month of the release, with .0 to indicate the original version of this release. For example, 17.10.0, 18.05.0, 19.05.0.
  • Maintenance release - which provides fixes and security improvements, is denoted by the fifth digit after the second point of the major release number. For example, 17.10.3, 18.05.10, or 19.05.5.

End-of-Life Policy

Each release of a product will reach its End-of-LifeEnd-of-life (EOL) is a term used with respect to a product supplied to customers, indicating that the product is in the end of its useful life (from the vendor's point of view), and a vendor stops marketing, selling, or rework sustaining it. (EOL) date 3 years after its General AvailabilityGeneral availability (GA) is the marketing phase when all commercialization activities pertaining to the software product have been completed and it is available for purchase. It is also known as production release. (GA) date.

Each product module has its own release numbering and GA dates.

All product module releases are supported and maintained until their EOL date. After their EOL date, out-of-support releases will be supported only to facilitate an upgrade to a supported release version.

After the EOL date, an Extended Support period is provided for customers planning to upgrade to a supported release.

Feature and Maintenance Releases

New features are added to the product in major releases. Maintenance releases provide fixes and security improvements.

New features are added to the current release only and are not ported to previous releases. For example, features added in v18.11.0 will not be available in v18.05.x.

Monthly Maintenance Releases are available against the most recent major version only, unless, in our view, there is a significant reason to patch a previous release, such as a major security issue. For example, a fix in v18.11.5 will not be released for v18.05.
