Property Types Overview

Journey Manager (JM) Previously known as Transact Manager (TM). |   System Manager / DevOps |  |  v5.1 & Higher This feature is related to v5.1 and higher.

Journey Manager uses various property types in configuring its properties. Standard properties are of a given property type which acts as a template for correctly entering the property value.

You may require new properties to be created. It is recommended that you associate a Property Type to each new property as this ensures that the value entered for this Property throughout is of a standard data type. Also, a Property Type enforces a scope of:

  • Client for Organization-specific (and levels below).
  • Form for form version-specific (and levels below).
  • User for user-specific (a user’s profile).

Apart from acting as a template for entering the property values, when a property type has already been associated for a property, say within an organization, it is not able to be associated with another property within that same organization.
