Maestro Receipts Overview

MaestroPreviously known as Transact Maestro.  |   Form BuilderPlatform Developer |   21.05 This feature was updated in 21.05.

Apart from creating dynamic and interactive forms, you often need to build read-only statements - receipts - for various stages of form application processes, for example, a successful form submission. By default, Maestro auto-generates the design of a receipt based on the design of the associated form. However, you can also create custom receipts in the Maestro editor using the Receipt Designer tool. This is often the case when you must have a receipt that is optimized for print as an interactive form can be a lot less space efficient or for presenting data on a page along with the interactive form used for data collection which may not be efficient for creating a printable record of the transaction.

If a form has a receipt design, then when you build a form with the Use Separate Receipt Design option selected, Maestro generates a FAR file containing two complete Maestro designs - a form and a receipt, and an XML configuration file specifying which receipt design to use when the FAR file is published in Manager. If there is no receipt in the FAR file, the interactive form is used for the receipt.

When creating a receipt, a Form Builder will:

  • Use the Receipt Designer to create a custom receipt
  • Remove tooltips, help text, and other changes to make the most of receipt improvements
Note

Manager delivers receipts to applicants and also allows you to perform some minor receipt configuration.
